Community Meetup with Jenny Chang
On April 12th, Jenny Chang, a Senior Strategist at JOAN Creative, will be presenting on WAP. "WAP: Women Asserting Power" is an exploration of sexuality and power dynamics in music as it relates to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP”: the contextual significance of explicitness in rap music, the history of the word “pussy” in pop culture, the notability of French aristocratic design and Britney Spears’ influence on the video’s aesthetic, and how “WAP” represents the unapologetic reclamation of sexual agency and an alternate social hierarchy in which Black women are the reigning class.
Breathwork Session
On April 4th, we’ll have Georgia Roberts leading a breathwork session specifically focused on grief. Georgia is a women’s wellness coach and cancer survivor based in Auckland, NZ who I met several years ago at Campowerment. I’ve had the pleasure of attending a breathwork session with her before and it felt like part meditation, part relaxation, part expulsion.
In Georgia’s words, “Transformational Breathing uses the breath as a tool to gently unearth stuck and stagnant energy in the body, creating more space to facilitate focus, creativity, and calm.” Originally we were going to set up a session with Georgia for our small group team — but after publishing a few newsletters about our recent grief, we realized that so many of us have been dealing with grief over the past few years.
This session will be 60 minutes in length. First, Georgia will talk about the breath and how to breathe, then we’ll breathe together with her guidance, and finally, we’ll leave 15 minutes for a Q&A with Georgia.

Community Meetup
On Friday, February 25th, we’ll host a community meetup for all members of the School of Stolen Genius. It’s hard to believe that we’re two years into Zoom life… And it doesn’t seem like that will be changing anytime soon. During this community meetup, we’ll share some of our learnings on how to make Zoom meetings a bit less boring — and we’ll invite you to share yours as well! A favorite icebreaker? A Zoom integration? A game? We look forward to a lively conversation with you :)

Think on These Things: 2022 Trends
As we kick-off the new year, Faris and Rosie will be hosting a meet-up at the end of January to share the trends they’re betting on in 2022. We’ll cover off on the trends within the first hour, but we’re reserving 90 minutes for those who can stay longer, as we’d love to hear from you, too. Do you agree with the trends we’ve presented? Disagree? Have one of your own to share? We look forward to connecting and conversing!
